MOPS Fall Kickoff
Dear Mothers of Preschoolers,
Welcome to Hope Covenant Church MOPS 2011-2012 year! We are excited about exploring our new theme, MomSense: Bold, Loving, Sensible with all of our mothers of preschoolers. Mom Intuition + Common Sense = MomSense. MomSense builds on one aspect of creating better moms who make a better world – by building practical mothering skills
This years program is focused on strategies for mothering and growing as a woman. We will learn and discuss many challenges we all face together as women and mothers; keeping friendships, motivating your children, fitness, frugal shopping, spring cleaning and staying organized. For our service project we will be stuffing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child and finding ways to volunteer with our children. The Christmas message will help our families refocus on the importance of the season. After the holidays, come and find ways to beat the boredom of winter and be inspired in your marriage. We will make Easter baskets to donate and hear the Easter message. Look for special events to enjoy for your whole family as well, like our MOPS/POPS/TOTS Fall Hayride and our ladies night Game Night Friday the 13th in January. There will be a pampering session in April; a chance to take care of your self too. At the end of the MOPS 2011-2012 year we will hold a MOPPET celebration to give thanks to all of our wonderful MOPPET volunteers-they’re awesome!
Mark your calendars for September 1 from 9:30 - 11:00 for the MOPS Open House. Your children can meet the MOPPETS staff and see the classrooms while you can have some refreshments and meet your fellow MOPS. Registration forms are enclosed and can be returned anytime. You can also be thinking about where you could serve the MOPS group. A brochure is enclosed with the new steering team and phone numbers so you can let us know if you are interested in helping in any area.
Finally, we want to wish you a relaxing and refreshing end of summer. We look forward to providing another enjoyable MOPS year and we hope you will join us as we learn about MonSense: Bold, Loving, Sensible. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
